About Ivey Estate Law

A Massachusetts estate planning practice built for parents who have been meaning to get this done.

Tim Ivey, Esq.

Estate planning attorney · Massachusetts

I have two young kids. I know the specific late-night version of worry that starts with what happens to them if something happens to us, and I know how easy it is to decide you will deal with it next month.

Most families put this off for one of two reasons. They think estate planning is for people with more money than they have, or they assume it will be expensive, slow, and full of language they cannot follow. Neither is true.

So I built this practice around the opposite: a flat fee you know before we start, documents that read like they were written for a human being, and a process measured in weeks rather than months.

Before law school I spent more than a decade on the technology and operations side of a law firm, building the systems that ran it. That is an unusual route to a bar card. It also means I am organized, I move quickly, and I do not lose track of your file.

About the firm

Ivey Estate Law is a d/b/a of Trowbridge Law Group LLP, a firm whose primary practice is securities and private placement work for real estate sponsors and fund managers nationwide.

The estate planning practice runs under my name because it serves a completely different client: Massachusetts families, not capital raisers. Same firm, same insurance, same standards. A different front door.

I am the attorney responsible for the content of this website.

How I work

I listen first

The first meeting is about your family, not a menu. What you own, who depends on you, what worries you. The recommendation comes after that.

I move quickly

Most families are signed and done within three to four weeks of the first meeting. Your time matters as much as mine.

I keep it in plain English

You should be able to explain your own estate plan to your spouse without reading from the document.

I am here as things change

Another child, a new house, a move, a change of heart about a guardian. Plans need updating, and I would rather you call.

Let’s talk

The first conversation is free, about thirty minutes, and carries no obligation. Worst case you leave knowing exactly what you need and what it would cost.
